Kodak Nexpress SE2500

Kodak Nexpress SE2500 Digital Printing Press

The Kodak Nexpress SE2500 digital printing press is the only sheet fed full production colour press on the market today. Lemon Press has invested in a digital press with a 5-colour print engine. It has a range of inline features and reproduces 86% of Pantone colours accurately. It monitors and manages colour consistency on every sheet – from the first to the last!

Imaging Technology

The Kodak Nexpress SE2500 digital press uses dry electrophotography to create the printed image. The imaging technology is based on 600 dpi multi-bit technology and uses several different screening algorithms.

Enhanced Image Quality

Significant investment in two key areas have resulted in big improvements. Digital colour output is now comparable with offset printing. Kodak Nexpress Intelligent Calibration System (ICS) ensures a consistent print output and Kodak Enhanced Dry Ink and Developer. A new formulation which improves image quality and delivers smooth flat tints. This combination of technologies ensures the press delivers a high quality and consistent printed image.

Faster Printing Speeds

The Kodak Nexpress SE2500 can print 2500 A3+ sheets or 5000 A4/letter single-sided sheets per hour. There is no reduction in printing speed when printing single sided in 5 colours. Double-sided printing is half of the normal single-sided speed but there is no slowdown when perfecting.

Unrivalled Productivity

The Kodak Nexpress SE2500 is a digital printing press which comes with Adobe PDF print engine 2.0 which offers higher productivity and seamless integration. The press features a 5 colour print engine and can run over 600 different substrates – not just digital stocks.

High Capacity for Longer Print Runs

The Kodak Nexpress SE2500 has 4 feeders. It has a total capacity of 11,000 sheets. The 5th feeder can be used for a roll feed. The press also features inline solutions and finishing modules. This allows for long spells of uninterrupted printing.

Print Sheet Sizes

The Kodak Nexpress SE2500 has a maximum and a minimum sheet size.

  • Maximum sheet size is 356mm x 520mm
  • Minimum sheet size is 279mm x 200mm

Printed Image Area

The maximum image area is 340mm x 510mm. This gives more flexibility for designers.

Fifth Imaging Unit

The Kodak digital printing press is highly flexible due to the fifth imaging unit. It can be used to produce dimensional 3-D raised print. The fifth unit can also be used in conjunction with these features; Intelligent Colour, Glossing and Coating Solutions.

Print Genius

The Kodak Nexpress SE series also features Print Genius. This software combines many press control features. It optimises the quality and consistency of printed output. It monitors the first sheet to the last, every day.

Environmental Advantages

The Kodak Nexpress SE2500 is a digital printing press which has been designed with the environment in mind. It does not emit VOC’s (volatile organic compounds) and printed sheets are fully de-inkable for recycling.

Printed output has EU food packaging approval as well as EN71.3 Toy Safety approval.

The digital press has an environmentally responsible design. It complies with ISO 14001, ISO 9001 certified manufacturing criteria. All packaging, print consumables and even the press itself are recyclable.
